Debate Preparation: Ranchers vs. Rangers

DESCRIPTION

In this engaging group activity, participants will split into two teams of six, with three siding with ranchers and three siding with rangers. You will have ten minutes to gather your arguments and supporting facts, emphasizing critical thinking instead of emotional reasoning. Once the time is up, a tone will signal the start of the discussion. Each group must document their arguments in journals, ensuring a focus on evidence-based reasoning rather than personal beliefs. Honors participants will also select a key discussion question for deeper analysis.
