  9. Decimals  Fractions • Step one: Determine the place value • Step two: place the decimal as the numerator, the place value as the denominator • FOR EXAMPLE: 0.9 reads…9 tenths because 9 is in the tenths place The fraction would then be 9/10 SIMPLIFY YOUR FRACTION!

  19. Group Work (15 minutes) • Designate partner 1 and partner 2. Partner 1 come grab 1 white board and 1 marker. • Partner 1 will start. You will teach your partner, step by step, how to the do problem 1. • Partner 2 will begin with problem 2. • Trade off until you are done with the problems. You must show work and do IDK! • If you are stuck: you must ask your partner before you can raise your hand and ask me.

  20. Independent Practice (10 minutes) • Open your book to page 157 • Practice problems 1-23 on your own. • Raise your hand if you have questions or need help. • If you get done early, answer the “Reflection” at the bottom of your notes.
