MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING DoCS coordinates the Disaster Recovery – Human Services Plan and provides financial assistance Red Cross provides personal support, and often assists the Police with Disaster Victim Registration ADRA coordinates the provision of accommodation for people affected by a disaster as well as for workers The Salvation Army provides food for people affected by a disaster as well as workers The St Vincent de Paul Society provides clothing and personal requisites to people affected by a disaster The St Vincent de Paul Society provides clothing and personal requisites to people affected by a disaster ANGLICARE provides general support and assistance to any of the organisations as needed

PROCEDURES CHECKLIST • ACTIVATION: DoCS Manager will call the ADRA Team Leader to ACTIVATE (immediate response) or place us on STANDBY. • ADVISE ALL TEAM MEMBERSto assist either as part of the initial team(s) or with relief on a roster as required. Ensure your contact lists are always up to date. • REPORT TO THE EVACUATION / RECOVERY CENTRE as directed by DoCS Manager taking your KIT with you! Upon arrival, have each team member LOG ON using the form in your KIT. (NB: Log Off when leaving). • SETUPTHEADRA WORKAREA with facilities for a Team Leader, 2 Team Members (min.) and 1 Scribe (behind the team and away from public access).

  6. ROLE - DOCS • DoCS administers all financial assistance • DoCS activates agencies • DoCS coordinates • With other Functional Area Coordinators • Evacuation Centres • Recovery Centres • tasking organisations, not managing them. • - Liaises with other Supporting agencies
