  1. Personal Narrative Essay : My Greatest Adventure It took me a while to realize that I could've never imagined something like this. It was a cool morning, the sun hadn't even risen, and we had already begun the adventure of a lifetime. I would like to take the time to tell you my story, the story of my greatest adventure. It was 4:35 am when we left for Algonquin Park. We were the only ones on the road. The three hours went by quickly, and quietly. Besides the fact this adventure was my birthday present, the real reason I wanted to go was to find some moose and I did just that when we entered the Park. Slowly driving down Highway 60, we looked but had no luck. No moose for today but three more days of adventure awaits. We pulled up to the portage store at 8 am, parked the car and grabbed our bags, canoe, and walked across the Highway to an opening in the forest, where the lake becomes a river. This was the most exciting part of all, getting to step foot in the canoe! I sat in the canoe, as my dad passed me the bags. It was my job to keep the canoe balanced and prevent it from tipping. After fifteen minutes the boat had been packed, and it was now time to set off. The first few paddles were smooth, then the wind arrived. Luckily most of the wind was coming from behind us and even though the water was choppy, it couldn't have been a better day for our adventure to begin. We continued to paddle for two hours and arrived at our first portage. The portage was 250m from Ragged Lake to Smoke Lake. This portage was through a small clearing in the forest and even though it was a clearing, you needed to watch for bears and moose who roamed the woods. The first time we walked through the trail, I took my bag, the paddles, and both our lifejackets. Next, we walked back and took the bear barrel and my dad's backpack. After lugging everything to the other Lake we decided to take a small break to drink some water, and eat some sandwiches and off we went again! Next, we discovered the real beauty of Algonquin Park, the scenery. I took many pictures and soon we arrived at our second and last portage, "Devil's Staircase". This portage was given its name after, many previous campers attempted to climb this steep pathway. After 2 long trips, my father checked

  3. Narrative Essay On A Journey Everybody is on or has been on a journey before. Being on a journey is very important because it gives you a goal or task that you want to accomplish. When you go on a journey you find is yourself through the experiences and obstacles that life throws at you. Throughout a journey, you are taught life lessons and have the capability of applying that new knowledge for the future for a better outcome. Sometimes, these life lessons challenge you and you ultimately succeed at the end. For the past 5 months, I have been on a journey as I have been learning a new instrument that I've always wanted to learn since I was a little kid. Being on this path has taught me many life lessons and how to stay focused on what really matters. My interest in guitar started when my friend used to bring his guitar everyday and I would always want to play but didn't know how. I would always ask him to teach me how to play but I didn't know any of the chords and notes, therefore, I just gave up on attempting to play this new instrument. However, guitar is an elective that's offered here at Kennedy, so I decided to take the class. I noticed that my friend was getting better the more he practiced, so I decided to join the class to learn the basics and get started on this new journey. At first, it was difficult to understand the notes because I didn't have any musical background to help assist me for my own benefit. However, I began to focus more in class to learn the basics day by day. Overtime, I learned that you can't learn guitar in one day and you need a lot of practice to get better. I also discovered how progress is important to reach my end goal. I stayed on this journey to learn guitar because playing guitar is a special skill that I want to learn. n my free time or when I'm bored, I could play guitar while learning new and more songs to play. As a result, I will eventually and gradually get more advanced the more I learn. Another reason I stayed on this journey is because I want to want to challenge myself to do something I thought I could never do. When I was little, I always thought that I would never be able to play an instrument because it was too difficult to learn. Therefore, this is why I wanted to learn guitar in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  5. Personal Narrative Essay: A Day At The Beach I stretched my arms out and looked up and down the beach. Although I lived in Waikiki for years, it'd been far too long since I took a vacation, let alone the beach, since I'm dealing with neverending piles of school assignments and activities. As I strolled along the coastline I can feel the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. I was taken in by the soothing atmosphere that encircled me. I closed my eyes, letting myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun on a scorching summer day. The beach was oddly quiet for this time of that year, only a handful of people sunbathing. I didn't mind, I was going to enjoy myself. I headed out to the water after setting up my towel. The shock of the frigid water took my breath away and I was momentarily stunned. However, I quickly recovered; finding my body adjusts rapidly to the cold water. I waded a few feet into it before leaning forward and swimming out. I didn't dare to go too far though, instead turning to swim parallel to the shore. I was comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves represses all of my worries. I looked into the cloudless cerulean blue sky and see the perfection of life. Just when I was starting to get tired and wanted to go back to the shore, I saw something. Off the distance of the coastline, there was...show more content... Those who are young with energy and risk takers, revel in a hearty chase. Three days later I received a phone call from a Recruiter at C.R. England and while on the phone we went over all the information before setting a time and a date for leaving for Salt Lake City, Utah. When the day came to leave for Salt Lake City, Utah my parents took me to the Greyhound terminal to prepare to leave. Thirty minutes later we boarded the bus to leave our first stop was in Missouri I stayed on the same bus and from there I went to Kansas where I had to switch buses but I had to wait one hour before the other bus got there after boarding the bus for going to the next stop I was in Colorado where I had to wait two hours and thirty minutes before boarding my next bus to Wyoming once I got to Wyoming the next bus was ready and it had no air conditioner that I remember so the last bit of traveling was so warm that everyone on it was hot even a eight month old baby everyone tried their best to help the mother out to make...show more content... 7. The Importance Of Narrative Writing Narrative Writing is a story that is told and the order in which it is told. Some stories have narrators and some without. The narrator is normally a series of characters or one character who tell the story. Sometimes narrative writing can be classified as fiction writing which is a made up from start to finish. When there is narrative writing that is based on true stores, then the narrative writing is non fiction. Most narrative writing in the law enforcement sector is a "how to" format or a guideline on how a report should be written. It also explains the actual facts on how a crime occurred during the investigation. According to the text Biggs (2016), There are five rules of narrative writing. The first rule of narrative writing is, the report should always be written in first person. When the narrative explains first person, the narrative is stating that using "I or Me" in the reports identify the author of the person who is writing the investigative report. If "I or Me" is not being used to write the investigative reports, the investigation could be sought as made up or fake. The second rule of narrative writing is, the report should also be written in past tense along with first person view. According to the text, If you write in the past tense, you will develop consistency and, as a result, create a report that is professional and easy to read. With this type of consistency, the reports are easily believable to the reader and makes it easy to follow the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  8. Narrative Essay About Surfing FQ: what does it take to be a surfer? Prj: learning to surf Interview write up 2 2:55 friday afternoon, I took a deep breath as my stomach turned inside itself as if doing somersaults over and over. I sat there waiting for the interview call from Connor. Conor McMurdo, A highschool graduate now at Cal Poly, offered to to help me on my project. I had never met him before; however, he was recommended by my english teacher for doing his senior project on making his own surfboard. Interviewing someone you have never met is always a little nerve racking. My stomach felt these first time jitters as I picked up the phone to call Connor. Connor answered the phone with a friendly disposition and a few questions about me. I in turn thanked him for his help and his time and asked him how school was. Connor started surfing when he was 12. He started because it was a way to connect with his dad and to evade his stress of life. Once Connor became good at surfing he started teaching others his passion. Connor wanted to; "share this peaceful way to have fun and relieve stress of pretty much anything" with other people while teaching them. His goal in...show more content... He learned how to handle himself in the water and stay afloat through swim. Swimming showed Connor; "the correct structure for paddling as well prep for being surrounded by water. 10. A life lesson that I have learned over the course of my high school years, is you need to choose wisely which crowd of people to hang around. I've learned that not everyone is your friend, even if they tell you they are. There are people out there who will claim to be your friend, and will stab you in the back when you least expect it. This lesson has stuck with me over the past years, because I lost a lot of people who claimed to be my friend back in middle school. As soon as high school came around, I ended up losing a bunch of people in my freshman year, and it hurt. There was really nothing I could do about it, if someone doesn't want to be your friend, then you can't force them to be. My mistake was using the "you promised to stay" card Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have revised my essay at least ten times over the past few weeks. Being a professional for the past 20+ years summarizing what is said in something more than a bullet point or short email has proven to be difficult. What was I trying to communicate in my earlier versions is very close to where I am today but the route I am taking to get to this conclusions is much different thank I had anticipated . 12. The literary theory of narratology surrounds the ideology of how a story is told to an audience through literature. The underlying syntax of the word 'narrative' is projected as being a story told or spoken, but when it comes to literature, the audience is meant to look at how the written word conveys the story through its characters and its underlying plot. Narratology is a perspective that brings the audience's head into the author's way of bringing their story to life through their style of writing, creation of plot, and through the ways characters interact. What literary critics do within this theory is take into account the narratology – the way the story creates an impact and how the author projected their idea into literature. The narratological perspective can be displayed through three major layers; the framework, the in–depth analysis of the story, and how the work makes an impact. With the use of theorists Valdmir Propp, Aristotle, Gerard Genette, Roland Barthes, Julien Greimas and Tzvetan Todorov, and the literary work, The Turn of the Screw, the audience is able to understand what narratology entails. The framework of a narrative is a staple to the theory of narratology because it is one of the main steps towards understand what narrative truly is. Narrative itself has a basic formation, in which the story (being the major movement of events in the narrative) or plot (the way story is organized) encompass a major framework. The narrative has a set of goals Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  13. Narrative Essay Nursing Nursing is all I've wanted to do since i was 8–years old. I was the little girl who would pretend to be the nurse with a white sheet like it was my coat, and wearing my mother's stethoscope checking heartbeats. My mother bought me a medical kit and everyday i'd check everyone's heartbeat, blood pressure, and vitals. But at that age all I knew was i had to hold their wrist for a while not knowing what i'm feeling for, writing random numbers in a notebook, and putting my ear against their chest waiting for the "thump–thump" sound. They'd go along with me and I'd think to make the pain go away is to give it a kiss and a band–aid. Until my mom said " Chanel stop using all the band–aids". Then, I had to cut down on my practices. 14. How To Write A Personal Narrative Essay Hi I'm Paige and if you had told me last year I'd be in Office Administration I would've said, "no way, not even close". That's one of those jobs requiring you to be cool calm and collected. The atmospheres are peaceful and then people work constantly. It's the opposite of my desired profession and personality. I'm the opposite of my career, or well it was until I met my instructor, Miss Young. She changed my mind about how I perceived the trade and what I could do with the skills once I completed. Was very instrumental in helping me obtain the necessary skills to make the most money in the field of Office work. I managed to get my typing up to the speed of over 60 words per minute. It was strange when I took my first step into this new country––a place where I have never been to before. Three weeks later, school in elementary was starting. It was awkward for me to go to school, due to the reason of me being shy and still not used to the new environment, I did not know any English at that time, and wasn't able to communicate with anyone, I was only capable of communicating through my body languages. 17. Personal Narrative: My Personal Worldview I entered the first semester of my freshman year, opinionated and unsure of what to expect. I believed in many of the same things I do now: hard work, equality, advocacy, love, faith in something (even if we do not know what), and truth, among others. I found, though, when it came to approaching people, taking action, and believing in the impossible, I was immensely influenced by people in my life. I approached people and situations with cynicism implanted by my family and small–town friends. As the semester progressed, I found myself and my own point of view. Narrative Essay Achieving the American Dream Gentle, Revised Narrative Essay One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. The realtor and I both agreed on a closing date which was 45 days from the date we signed the contract. At this point, it was time to make sure that we met all of underwriting guidelines. It was not only important for us to meet all of the bank stipulations but the actual house had to meet bank standards in order for the bank to approve the loan. Shortly, after faxing the contract over to the bank I was contacted by my loan processor, her name was Emily. Then after about 6 crazy seconds he threw the ball to our halfback and he broke a couple tackles and the somehow stretched across the goal line by about 2 inches and we had taken the lead 8–6 with 52 seconds to go.
