  1. Things to Consider When Choosing Kitchen Cabinets Did you know that for most people in Salt Lake City, their kitchen is the most used room in their house? Did you also know that when it is aesthetically pleasing and updated, it plays a big part in how fast a home sells? Crazy, right? Well, it makes sense because the cooking and a majority of the gathering takes place there. Quality kitchen cabinets will add functionality, durability, and beauty to your home. Here are a few things to consider when either installing or updating your kitchen cabinets: ●The size of your space. Some kitchen cabinets go to the top of your ceiling, while others end a foot or two below. This will be determined by your preference between decorating and storage options. Some have different depths so knowing how deep you want them to be for what you’re storing in them can be a determining factor. ●Different customizable kitchen options are available in Salt Lake City, such as wine racks, shelves, lazy susans, vertical dividers, and pull out bins or shelves. You want to decide what will work best for you and your family. ●Finish or paint? Do you want your kitchen cabinets to be wood-colored or a painted color? You will need to decide what you think will look good in your kitchen, specifically with your countertops. Do you want the room to have more contrasts, to be light and airy, or to be dark and moody?

  2. ●Type of wood. Do you want them to be made out of compound materials or solid wood such as cherry, maple, or oak? A few examples of compound materials are laminate, thermofoil, acrylic, fiberboard, and eco veneers. What materials are more commonly found in the Salt Lake City area? Depending on the type of wood you choose, some kitchen cabinets will last longer in your kitchen than others. Some woods dent more easily than others, and some materials cost less than others. What it really comes down to here is your budget and the quality of the material that you want for your kitchen cabinets. If you live in Salt Lake City and are in the market for new kitchen cabinets or would just like to revamp your kitchen, you’ll want to consider a few items. You’ll want to consider what your dream kitchen looks like, the budget you have to work with, your space, and the material you would like to use.
