  1. One of the most powerful and inspiring big cats in the world is the tiger, specifically the royal Bangal tiger. If you are thinking of discovering some of the wildlife on an Indian wildlife sanctuary visit and tour, then you could spot one of them as India is one of the few places to have them living in the wild still. You can experience this beautiful creature in its natural habitat and come as close as anyone ever can safely to a stunning tiger.

  2. Booking with an expert guide - If you choose one of the top tour companies you can book a holiday for all of you that suits like-minded people. You can best ensure you get an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide and someone who actually knows about the natural world inside the parks. You can choose different safaris or tours depending on the park you go to and what you prefer but a great way to get deeper and not bother the wildlife is to choose an elephant tour. It increases your chance of sighting a royal Bengali tiger and other more elusive creatures too. The great thing about a lot of these parks is that you can choose to camp or stay in accommodation on the reserve so you are closer to it all. You can really fall asleep listening to the night creatures coming out to play and hunt. They are comfortable and the staff is very welcoming. You might then choose to head on two tours, the morning and afternoon one to get the best chance and to be the most comfortable as you explore. When not on tour you can enjoy great food, and relaxing at your accommodation.

  3. Two great places to spot a tiger - Here are two places you could head to where there are tigers but there are others that also offer great options. Pench Tiger Reserve - One of the most famous tiger reserves and a great place for a sighting of a royal Bangal tiger is Pench Tiger Reserve. It offers nearly 800sq km of territory for its tigers and other wildlife and is in the south of the Satpura Hills. It is divided by a river and was the reserve that inspired The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. The mix of damp dense forests with dried deciduous forests and rugged terrain makes a great habitat for a lot of jungle dwellers.

  4. Kanha National Park - Another well-known and popular tiger reserve is Kanha National Park found in Madhya Pradesh. With the Maikal hills, grassland and forests as most of its territory, it is a wonderful ecosystem and the open areas of grass make it easier to spot a royal Bengali tiger. There is also a lake there that attracts a lot of the wildlife including leopards, langurs and jackals. Take your camera and your binoculars for some great photographs and for closer up peeks at some amazing creatures.
