  2. Habitat • The Tiger lives in a den. • Tigers live in Africa

  3. Appearance • The tiger has fur. • The tiger is orange with black stripes. • It has big paws and long whiskers.

  4. Food • The tiger eatsambar deer, wild pigs, water buffalo and antelope.

  5. Young • The tiger has 3 or 4 babies. • Cubs follow their mother out of the den at around 8 weeks and become independent at around 18 months of age. • They leave their mothers at about 2 ½ years.

  6. Threats • Tigers are losing their habitat. • Tigers are killed by people.
