  1. Save Our Environment, Save Ourselves! By Danielle Loverro

  2. Littering Littering is a big reason why animals are dying. People simply don’t care about animal safety and think it is okay to litter and think there will be no effect on wildlife. We should all do a reality check! This planet was originally made for animals, and later we developed by Chimps and Gorillas. Now, our planet has the supplies for wildlife and us. We can’t just forget about everything else in the world and only worry about ourselves. We need to make a change in our ways of life. Here is an example of an ordinary beach in Miami, look how much litter there is, and nobody even cares!

  3. Effects on wildlife, LITTERING Many times when we go to the beach, people litter or we see litter lying around, etc. Unfortunately, those pieces of litter you see get carried out into the ocean and sea creatures think it is food, they try to eat it and they die or it chokes them to death. This one may try to eat food and not be able to swallow it or a predator will attack and he/she will not be able to defend himself.

  4. Percent's of The Main Types of LitterResearch found at http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/nomoretrash/facts/ Type of LitterPercentage • Fast Food Waste (33%) • Paper (29%) • Aluminum (28%) • Glass (6%) • Plastic (2%) • Other (2%)

  5. Review on “Main Types of Litter” As you can see on the previous slide fast food has the highest percent. Here is a random person stating their thoughts… Valerie:“I am not surprised, when I see litter, it is mostly from a fast food restaurant.” Danielle: “Yes, I do notice that myself!” Valerie: “When I go to New York City, it is all over the place, the streets, sidewalks near garbage bins.” Danielle:“Oh yeah, I see a ton of trash in New York and Paris!”

  6. A Place that helps animals • We could create a place that we would go to beaches and find animals with litter around them and try to help them by taking them back to a shelter and either cut the plastic or litter off from them and then nurse them back to health. Then we will release them back to were they came from.
