  2. עכו עיר אוריינטאלית עתיקה שיש בה מראות ים מרהיבים, דייגים אמיתיים, מתקיימות בה אמונות ומסורות של יורדי ים ויש בסמטאותיה שווקים תוססים. שרידיה רבים ומגוונים. נמצא בה שרידים מרשימים מן התקופה הצלבנית – תקופת "מלחמות הסהר והצלב". הצלבנים הקימו בעכו עיר נמל חיונית ותוססת ואף חילקו את פרבריה בין הכובשים האירופיים השונים. אחריהם, הגיעו המוסלמים. אלו שיוו לעכו את המראה האוריינטאלי שלה, הקיים עד עצם היום הזה. מנהיג שביקש לכבוש את עכו היה נפוליון הגדול. 3 חודשים צר על העיר ולא יכול לה. יש אומרים כי מאז ימים אלו השם עכו הינו ראשי תיבות עכ"ו – עד כאן ותו לא. בעכו – ניחוחות, צבעים וכן שרידים מרשימים לתקופות דרמאתיות בארץ ישראל, אבן וים, יבשה ונמל, אוכלוסיה צבעונית וידידותית ושפע מסעדות ואטרקציות שונות לתייר. Acre An old oriental city with wonderful sea vistas and real fishermen. It maintains faiths and traditions of seamen and there are lively markets in its streets. Its relics are numerous and varied. We can find there impressive remnants of the Crusade era – the period of the “Wars of the Crescent and the Cross”. The Crusaders erected here a very vivid port town and divided its suburbs among the various European conquerors. The Moslems – who followed – dressed Acre with its oriental look, which characterizes it until today.
