Clinical Doses Glucocorticoids • Inflammatory • 0.25– 0.5 mg/kg q.12 h (dog), 1–2 mg/kg q.12 h (cat) • Immune-mediated (autoimmune) eg: IMHA and Thrombocytopenia, Immune-mediated polyarthristis, IBD • 1.0–2.0 mg/kg q.12 h (dog), 2.2–6.6 mg/kg q.12 h (cat) • Acute spinal cord injury • methylprednisolone sodium succinate, 30 mg/kg IV) within 8 h of injury • The emergency management of acute anaphylaxis • Dex Na phosphate (1–4 mg/kg IV) or prednisolonesodiumsuccinate (10–25 mg/kg IV)
