What is eLearning • "the effective learning process created by combiningdigitally delivered content with (learning) support and services." the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council in the UK • effective - learning that succeeds  • combining- the combination of ICTs and pedagogy makes the difference (blended learning) • digitally delivered content - content delivered electronically by CDs, cell phones, the computer, and the Internet  • support- support provided by tutors, facilitators or course coordinators

  5. eLearning Vision • Enhance learning outcomes, including levels of achievement, engagement, motivation and understanding. • Manage, organize and distribute information more effectively. • Extend learning beyond the classroom

  6. eLessons (Electronic Lessons) • Transferring the classical text book into an electronic medium • Electronic lessons are animated learning material which deliver classroom or tutor like teachings. They are developed following the strict guidelines drawn from many years of research. The aim is to provide our learners with a teaching tool that will accelerate their learning. Animation of teacher's thoughts helps learners see what it means. • 82% of students uses Personal computer, while 67% of the students uses Internet very heavily, that’s why students also expect to be able to work and learn at the same time and, therefore expect flexible access: something which elessons can provide

  7. eLessons - Objectives Online materials should be presented in a manner so that they incorporate, not only different learning modalities, but are capable of : • Reducing cognitive load • Increasing retention • and problem-solving transfer. facilitating the process of building internal and external connections among and between information while meeting educational objectives.

  8. eLessons Features • Accommodates multiple learning styles using a variety of delivery methods geared to different learners • Learning can happen precisely when needed (On Demand Access), allowing students to study at their own pace • Overall costs are frequently less. (on Long Term) • Fosters greater student interaction and collaboration and student/instructor contact
