  1. ENT 115 – ANALOGUE ELECTRONIC 1 Academic Session : 2012-2013 Semester: 2 Biomedical Electronic Engineering Programme

  2. Course Synopsis • This course provides fundamental knowledge on analogue electronics. The student will be exposed to the basic structure of semiconductor materials, principle operation of selected electronic components and fundamental of electronic circuit design. Students will be introduced with several types of selected electronic components which are Diode, Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT), Field Effect Transistor (FET) and Thyristors.

  7. Assessment • Examination: 75% • Mid Term Examination = 15% • Final Examination = 60% • Continual assessments: 25% • Laboratory Assessment (3 labs)= 10% + 5% (Lab Test) • Assignments & Quiz (3 assg.) = 10% • 100 % ATTENDANCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR ALL CLASSESS, TUTORIALS, AND LABS
