  8. Course Description • Follow along as a fictitious health care provider performs the following tasks in ProviderOne: • Log Into ProviderOne using the initial Provider System Administrator account • Create a new System Administrator account • Create new user accounts • Maintain User Accounts

Course Objectives • Understand the Tasks Supported by Provider Profiles • Use ProviderOne to: • Create a new user account and assign it the EXT Provider System Administrator profile • Set up new user accounts in ProviderOne • Perform User Account Maintenance Tasks Including: • Change a user password • Add or end date a user profile • Modify user account details • Lock and/or unlock a user account • End date a user account

The ProviderOne Security Framework • Three Security Elements • The Provider Domain Name • The User Account • The User Profile • DSHS assigns Mario Health Center a Domain Name • Allows all ProviderOne users in the Mario Health Center to be grouped together • Allows ProviderOne to give Mario Health Center access to their provider file • Enables ProviderOne to give Mario Health Center access to claims, prior authorization, and payment information related to the Mario Health Center

The Domain Name • Uniquely identifies Mario Health Center in ProviderOne • Mario Health Center’s Assigned Domain is: 2855678 • Used by ProviderOne to control access to the Provider Portal • Increases security by grouping information related to Mario Health Center under this domain name, for example: • User Accounts • Submitted Claims • Payment Information • User accounts within a domain are created and managed by the Provider System Administrator

The User Account • Mario Health Center: 2857403 • User accounts enable ProviderOne to control individual access to the ProviderOne Provider Portal • Uniquely identifies an individual in the Mario Health Center’s domain • Each user account is assigned a User ID unique within the Mario Health Center Domain • Each user account is assigned a password • DSHS creates and assigns the first user account in the Mario Health Center Domain • The Provider System Administrator Account

  15. The User Profile Enables ProviderOne to control what a user can see and do from the Provider Portal Each user account requires at least one assigned profile but may have several Profiles are created by DSHS Providers are responsible for assigning profiles to their individual user accounts
