What is MDP? • MDP is defined as the process of creating and enhancing the competencies of managers and potential managers. • Management development is usually thought of as a planned process, focusing on a long-term development program to increase managerial effectiveness, but it also incorporates informal and unplanned elements such as learning from day-to-day experience. • Management development programs within an organization work to identify and recruit potential managers, and develop their knowledge and skills to meet organizational needs. • Management development activities include short courses, management education programs, management training, coaching, and mentoring. • Most importantly, the MDP can entail training of current employees to become managers, or can involve newly hired managers, who are taught the business through the management development program.
PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM • It is a 3 days training course, covering the following parts: • Personal Growth Lab and Emotional Intelligence • Goal setting and time management • Basic Communication skills • Interpersonal Communication – Transactional Analysis • Etiquettes • Each part concerns self awareness, awareness about individual’s strengths and leveraging them in the best possible way.
ADVANCED PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS • This training can be covered either in 3 full day setting or 6 half day setting. It includes: • Understanding work roles • Role efficacy and role stress • Decision making • Creative Problem Solving • The art of empowering self • Understanding personal leadership style
EXECUTIVE EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM • The course can be covered in 5 full days or ten half days and includes: • Understanding group dynamics • Working with effective teams – team communication • Building effective teams and team work • Team roles and team role efficacy • Group decision making • Motivating employees & peers • Delegating effectively • Managing conflict, encouraging co-operation & collaboration • Gaining power and influence • Leading high performance teams
