  7. The Sound of Music • Director: Robert Wise • Writers: Howard Lindsay  Russel Crouse • Stars: Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer and Eleanor Parker By – Aakansha kumari Class – 8th b

  8. Review This film is a triumph in all departments. Every aspect, from the cinematography to the acting, the sets to the costumes, the music, choreography, script, is top notch. While the film is family friendly and has a sweet story, it is constantly amazing the way people attack it as saccharine and sugary. This can certainly be said of the stage show, but the movie version has been carefully produced to provide a more well-rounded vision. Ernest Lehman worked wonders with the underdeveloped and unremarkable dialogue of the play. He inserted so many moments of wit, humor, romance and poignancy that are nowhere in sight in the original. the art directors purposefully chose muted settings and colors. Each of the actors bent over backwards to provide a brilliant performance.

  11. Slowly, gently, multicolored blooms appearPeppering the air with a sweet fragrance,Ripening buds, on each a dewdrop, a tearIn which the sun's rays perform a dance.Nature's way of showing that she canGovern herself without the help of man. Sunny days now bring about the heatUnveiling her powerful force of re-birth,Moving, with a pulsating yet gentle beat,Man and beast and all else on Earth,Ever forward and yet following the callRecorded at the beginning of it all. When the struggle ends and all seems lost,Into the dark realm of death Nature slipsNo cry is heard, no counting of the cost,Total silence is all that escapes her lips.Earth, too, doesn't mourn nor does it weepRealizing Nature isn't dead, but just asleep. 12. As I grew up, I've learnt that…… As I grew up, I've learnt that even the person who wasn't suppose to let you down, probably will. You'll have your heart bROken & you'll break others too.. You'll fight with your best friend and you'll cry 'cause time is flying. So...take a lot of pics, laugh too much, forgive and love like you have never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no timeouts and no second chances...So live it to the f.u.l.l.e.s.t. Tell someone what he means to you, Dance in the rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, take chances, fall in love, live every moment... Because every moment you spend, is a second chance for happiness :) By – Saurav Kumar Class - 10th b

The Best of FriendsThe best of friends,Can change a frown,Into a smile,when you feel down.The best of friends,Will understand,Your little trials,And lend a hand.The best of friends,Will always share,Your secret dreams,Because they care.The best of friends,Worth more than gold,Give all the love,A heart can hold.By – Ajinkya JadhavClass – 10th b

  14. CHILD LABOUR Childhood is the sweetest and the most sonorous part of our life. Even after 6 decades of Independence, India is still in the shackles of child labour. Childlabour is labouring children below 14 years of age.Childlabour is a brutal act. A social crime. It is a blot on our society.Childlabour can be seen in factories, road-side dhabhas, restaurants, etc.Children are made to work to work in hazardous conditions. They are mostly found in crackers, glass bangles, glass etc.Parents of these children are very well aware of them as money seems to be more important for them. Children are forced to work for 6-8 hours in those harsh conditions. These uneducated parents send their children to work rather than to school because they don’t know the importance of childhood. We are fortunate to have such educated parents who send us to school. So, we have to try our level best to help those unfortunate children. We can spread awareness and plead their parents and elders to make their efforts to stop childlabour.I feel that these children deserve a better childhood. MADE BY = JIGNESH KUMAR

  15. What is the Jan Lokpal BillA short look at the salient features of Jan Lokpal Bill: 1. An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up 2. Like Supreme Court and Election Commission, they will be completely independent of the governments. No minister or bureaucrat will be able to influence their investigations.3. Cases against corrupt people will not linger on for years anymore: Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years.4. The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction. 5. How will it help a common citizen: If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant. 17. The 3 mistakes of my life The book deals with Cricket-Religion-Business all are my favourite topics so started this book with little expectation. The story starts with an email received by CB and moves on to a flashback. The story was played in Ahmedabad. The flashback tells a story of three friends who planning to start a business and chooses sports store. Of the three one is interested in cricket and another one in maths, business and the third one was quite religious. The story moves on with these three friends with some twists, Love, tragedy and a success. I don’t want to get into the story as u know while reading.Chetan used the Gujarat riot which creates fatal circumstances in the story. The way CB described the business was realistic and acceptable.   BY – GIRISH DIGAMBAR CLASS – 9TH B
