Job Duties & Responsibilities • Planting, mulching, fertilizing and irrigating lawns • Pest control • Leaf and debris removal • Hardscape installation and maintenance • Installing seasonal color plant beds • Mowing and clipping removal • Pruning, trimming and cleanup
Qualities and Skills Outdoors most of the time during varying weather conditions Ability to perform repetitive movement Involves much bending, lifting and shoveling Good physical condition is required
Salary • Most of the grounds employees are paid by the hour. • A grounds manager is usually paid from $9.50 to $15.00 per hour.
Work Environment • Almost all work is done outside in various weather conditions • Some work is done indoors such as record keeping and paper work • Will be working around businesses and professional environments
