  5. Bolton’s FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders#TeamNOKIDHUNGRY • FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders of Bolton High School has goals set to do our part in the National Outreach Project,’’ No Kid Hungry’’ for the 2012-2013 school year. Our chapter has recognized the importance of the devastating number of starving children. We want to do our part to make an impact alongside FCCLA and the Mid-South Food Bank.

  6. Bolton’s FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders#TeamNOKIDHUNGRY • Throughout Tennessee, there are approximately 396,470 hungry children. Our project for this year will kickoff with a candle lit ceremony with each FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders member pledging to do their part in the fight to end childhood hunger. Each chapter member will decorate ten luminary bags and get $1 donation for each from family and friends. Every dollar donated helps connect a child with 10 meals.

  7. Bolton’s FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders#TeamNOKIDHUNGRY • FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders have an outstanding partnership with Mid-South Food Bank. We are both excited and fortunate to have a share in helping today’s children. Last year our FCCLA chapter collected donations around the school and gave $750, which was a grand improvement from the $500 collected the previous year.

  8. Bolton’s FCCLA Morgan’s leaders#TeamNOKIDHURNGRY • Also, every year FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders helps accumulate canned goods at local Wal-Mart, along with the New Channel 5 and the Mid-South Food Bank. This year, in addition to the other projects, we have joined the ‘’Food for Kids Backpack Program’’.

  9. Bolton’s FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders#TeamNOKIDHUNGRY • This year, they are having a fundraiser by sending e-cards. For each e-mail, Riviana Foods will donate two packs of minute ready-to-serve brown rice to the Mid-South Food Bank. This is a small, however, effective way for us to spread the word to family and friends about the campaign and add to donations. So take a part to make a difference along with us!!

  10. FCCLA Planning Process Summary Page • Identify Concerns :Nearly 1 in 4 Mid-South children are at risk of hunger. The community doesn’t know how to locate services available to the hungry. • SET A Goal: Educate the community on the personal affects of hunger. Relate issues of hunger to health and learning concern. Each FCCLA Morgan’s Leader will experience the role of philanthropy in helping alleviate hunger in the community. • Form A Plan: FCCLA Morgan’s Leaders ‘’No Kid Hungry, Every Kid Healthy’’ #TeamNOKIDHUNGRY campaign project. Complete form for Principal Dan Haddow to approve project. Schedule a time with Coach Parker for the use of gym for opening pledge ceremony. Coordinate with BHS LIVE(OUR SCHOOL TV MEDIA) to air project and film. Book cafeteria time for donations. • ACT: Coordinate with BHS (our school media ) to air project and film. Book cafeteria time for donations. Once approved, purchase battery operated candle and tea lights and white bags. Pass out 10 bags to each chapter member to start collecting donations. Divide chapter members into teams to present in different classrooms the facts and issues of hunger and health. • FOLLOW UP: Mail funds that was collected.
