This report highlights the collaboration between E-GVAP and EUREF, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at EUREF06 in London. Key developments include the introduction of GNSS enhancements to the AGNES network, incorporating absolute antenna models and improved baseline selection strategies. The report also addresses the implementation of GNSS real-time and post-processed analyses, emphasizing the impact of new software and updates. Upcoming plans aim to optimize receiver installations and validate ambiguity resolution approaches for enhanced network performance.

EUREF – EUMETNET MoU • Signed at EUREF06 in London • Good bases for further collaboration between E-GVAP and EUREF
Monitoring NRT solutions • Only graphical adaptations to new corporate design • New internet system planned till end of the year
Processing • Bernese Software 5.0 (+) • ~ same number of stations • Absolute antenna model since GPS week 1401 (Nov. 2006) • GNSS PP analyses (GLONASS ambiguities float) since week 1401 • GNSS enhancement of AGNES in June/July 2007: 2/3 of the stations with GNSS receivers equipped • GNSS NRT analyses(GLONASS ambiguities fixed) since 2 weeks

Summary • Absolute antenna phase center model used since GPSWeek 1400 (Nov. 2006) for NRT and PP. Influence is 4-12 mm dependent of antenna type on the station • GNSS processing (ambiguity float) introduced in postprocessed solutions since GPSWeek 1401. The influence on ZTD is very small. • 2/3 of the AGNES sites with GNSS receivers • New baseline strategy (shorter baselines) is a prerequisite for GNSS ambiguity resolution. • GNSS ambiguity fixed solutions since 2 weeks. Influence on NRT need to be validated.
Action Items • Installation of remaining 10 AGNES sites: GPS -> GNSS (double station concept) • Ambiguity resolution GNSS for longer baselines and for mixed receivers including proper inter-phase bias handling (-> hope to realize improvements for NRT ZTD + GNSS-tomography) • More “Super Sites” in LPT processing
