  4. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES Jn. 8:42-45 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. 18. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES II. Satan’s Tactic of Deception E. Makes God Out to Be a Liar!

  19. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES III. Satan Continues to Lie A. Isa. 5:20 Turns Truth Upside Down • Woe unto them that call evil good, • and good evil; • that put darkness for light, • and light for darkness; • that put bitter for sweet, • and sweet for bitter!

  20. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES • III. Satan Continues to Lie • B. Jer. 6:13-15 Peace with God in Sin • 13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. • 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. • 15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

  21. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES III. Satan Continues to Lie C. Matt. 15:7-9 Man-made Doctrines • 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, • 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. • 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

  22. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES D. Jn. 8:42-45 Jesus Exposed Satan & His Followers 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

  23. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES III. Satan Continues to Lie E. 2 Cor. 4:3-4 Blinds by Our Selfish Desires 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

  24. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES III. Satan Continues to Lie F. 1 Jn. 2:15-17 Uses 3 Avenues to Deceive 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Eccl. 12:13-14 Purpose of Life: Love & Obey God 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

  28. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES V. The Parent-Child Relationship B. Eph. 6:4 God’s Truth for Parents 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

  30. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES Matt. 22:36-40 Basis of all truth 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

  32. GOD’S TRUTH VS. SATAN’S LIES Rom. 13:8-10 Love seeks welfare of others, does no harm 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

I will seek it yet again.
