Budget Development Cycle • January – Governor’s Budget Proposal • March – Preliminary Notice for Certificated Layoffs • March – 2nd Interim Report to the board • April – Preliminary Notice of Classified Layoffs • May – May Revise • May – Final Layoffs for Certificated • June 2011-12 Budget adopted

Preparing for 2011-12 • Governor’s Budget Proposal • No Cuts to schoolswithsuccessful passage of tax extension on June Ballot • $19 per ADA reduction - $60,000 • If tax extension doesn’t pass, • minimum $349 per ADA reduction - $1.1 Million • Scenario upon which we have been instructed to build budget
