  2. Hechos Culturales Spain – Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and is considered one of the most important cultural centers of Europe. Catalán is a Romance language, as is Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. Catalán is spoken in parts of Spain and France and is also the official language of the tiny nation of Andorra located in the Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain. In schools there, teachers teach in Catalán, although most people speak both Catalán AND Spanish.

They study science, math, Spanish, history, and English. They have gym and recess. During recess, they play soccer, chat with their friends, or buy treats and snacks to munch on. When a teacher comes into the classroom, the kids stand up to show respect.
