  2. Lincoln Logs were a favorite toy. There were no video game back then!

  3. The Titanic, the worlds largest ship, sadly-sunk.

  4. The Model-T Ford electric car was made on an assembly line.

  5. The first traffic light was used.

  6. The first fly-swatter was invented.

  7. The first ice-pops were invented and enjoyed!

  8. Skee-ball, like at Chuck-E-Cheese, was invented and played for fun.

  9. Girl Scouts of America was formed in 1912.

  10. What do you think? Were there computers in peoples homes, 100 years ago?

  11. No. The first apple computer was made in 1976 and boy did it look different!

  12. Did people have mobile phones 100 years ago?

  13. No. The first mobile phone call was made in 1973. Doesn’t this phone look very different?!?

  14. Did people live in houses 100 years ago?

  15. Yes. Here are what some of them looked like… Kansas home in 1912 Texas home in 1912

  16. Was there T.V. 100 years ago?

  17. No. T.V. was invented in 1927.

  18. Can you imagine life 100 years ago…with no T.V., phone, ipod or Computer? Kids still did some of the same things that we do now. Help their parents clean Go to school Play outside Read!

  19. Now, think some more….what do you think life will be like 100 years from 2012…in 2112? Flying Cars? Life in outer space? Jet packs? Flying people?

  20. Reflection…… Draw what you predict life to be like 100 years from now. In 100 years, I will see _______ and _______.
