Our Draft Offer • Based on focus group findings, customers said they wanted: • Easier access to housing – one form, one list, one policy • Communication – to be kept informed, named officer(s) • Information and transparency – clarity about how properties are allocated and information about landlords’ performance; more information about localities • Choice – more opportunities to move across LA boundaries • Support – especially for first time customers • Improved quality of accommodation

Not so well? • Starting with customers – they defined the standard • Personal contact – focus groups and telephone interviews • Steering Group participation – natural progression to take on scrutiny role • Postal and website surveys – very low responses • Media interest – messages not understood • Limited interest from most stakeholders
