  2. What is the Illinois Alumni Club...? A link between Argentine students, alumni, professors and staff of the U of I. A way to provide counseling to prospective students. A contact network. A way of facilitate re-entering the labor market. A reference for professors and students from the U of I visiting our country.

  3. Who is invited to participate....? Argentines that : ·   Have got a degree at U of I ·   Have been involved in exchange programs ·   Are currently studying at the U of I ·   Have worked or are working at the U of I as faculty or staff We extend this invitation also to their families, that have shared the experience of living at U-C, and to foreign alumni and professors linked to the Argentine community.

Alumnidata base   Web page Contacts with Illinois Alumni Association, Study Abroad Office, OISA, Argentine Community at U-C, Foreign Universities Alumni Club, and local universities Orientation for incoming students (June 2001) Launching meeting (July 19, 2001) Approval of statutes and designation of authorities

  5. Next Steps... Develop the alumni data base. Provide services to alumni and students through our web page. Take part in the Foreign Universities Alumni Club. Support initiatives oriented to bring Argentines back home, like the Programa Raíces (CONICET). Promote exchange between UofI and local universities and institutions.
