INTRODUCTION • Leaders and planners have been declaring time again in various forums that there has been a vast dearth of qualified and competent Engineers, Architects and Managers in our country. There has been a wide gap between the demand and supply of professionals . More colleges have to be started to meet the increasing requirements of the expanding industrial sector.

The VODITHALA EDUCATION SOCIETYstarted Kavikulguru Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) in 1985 in Ramtek in a bid to produce competent professionals and to take the professional education within the reach of students hailing from rural areas. It is the duty of any institute started in rural areas , to take up the task of building confidence , improving communications skills , inculcating competitive spirit ,inspiring forge –ahead attitude in the young minds , so that they can contribute to the nation .The VODHITALA EDUCATION SOCIETY gradually created and added over years various facilities and opportunity for the students at KITS.

  4. The principles that have been held high , the methodology that has been practiced over the years made our institute a distinctly different institute and carved a special place for it in the field of professional education in our country.

  7. The landscape of the college is filled with different shrubs, trees, plants and various other elements such as pavements, fountains, etc. which makes the campus more lively and fresh .

  8. PROFESSIONALY AND PERSONALITY DEVELOPEMENT • The college lays a lot of stress on the all round development of students . A number of forums are created department wise and college wise to assist the students to develop communication skills , organization skills ,tolerance to criticism , positive attitude , leadership , capacity for mingling and getting on with peers of different mentalities , etc.

Branch wise associations and clubs function under the leadership of the students ,which conduct seminars and guest lecture , quizzes etc and help the hesitant student members to bring out their hidden potential .The NCC unit strives to develop qualities of character , courage , comradeship , discipline , leadership , etc.

Keeping in view the growing needs of industry The college have taken up an additional role of being the bridge between academia and industry by training students in soft skills and technical skills that are required by the industry thus enhancing the students employability and entrepreneurship .

  15. ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT • This department is renowned for its wide varieties of born talents. The need of creating appropriate architecture to shelter man and his pursuits in relation to the space / place resources and time is a widely accepted and acknowledge program the world over . • K.I.T.S , understands the importance of imparting architectural education and the responsibilities of creating Architects well- versed to shape a living for tomorrow. Five years B arch semester pattern degree course of the RASHTRASANT TUKDOJI MAHARAJ UNIVERSITY , approved and recognized by the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE) and the COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE (COA) is offered at K.I.T.S Ramtek since 1994 with an intake of 30 students per annum .

  16. Students work here with full dedication and devotion to their studies . Events are usually held by the department of Architecture to enhance the creativity of the mind of the students . These events can even develop the skills of a students increasing his experiencing point making him reach into a whole new level . Guest lectures are even held in the architecture department . It helps to sharpen the thoughts , changing the way to view things around .

TOURS AND SITE VISIT • Study tour is usually held annually to place where there is dedication to the field of architecture .students along with the faculty member arrive at places to the study the importance of the materials , techniques , styles etc . • Students enjoy the time learning at such exquisite place where they can enjoy their time as well.

  18. ABOUT EVENTS • TEKNODEON :Annual festival for students in which the college include technical as well as non – technical events . every year , the college invite students from different colleges . • RAGA N ROCK :Fields like dancing , singing , acting , etc . This event is held annually for the entertainment of the students of the institute .

  19. ARCHI ASSOCIATION : • In Archi association events are usually held every week for the interest of the students . • Events that are held : • Model making • Poster making
