Limericks. A limerick is a poem of five lines The first, second, and fifth lines have three rhythmic beats and rhyme with one another. The third and fourth lines have two beats and rhyme with one another. They are always light-hearted, humorous poems. There once was a man with no hair.

To an elephant he said, “Don’t let size go to your head, I can walk through a keyhole and you can’t.” The elephant, not to be outwit, To this fact did readily admit. “Through the keyhole of a door, I can’t pass that’s for sure, What good is a keyhole to a door that I’ve split?” Another Limerick
