  2. Dilation • Dilation is were you are able to enlarge or reduce your object.

  3. Translations • A translation is were you change your original coordinates by first moving to your left or your right. Then you would either move up or down.

  4. Reflection • A reflection is were you either move your figure or coordinate over the x-axis or y-axis.

  5. Enlargement • Enlargement is a type of dilation. If you dilate a figure and your new figure is larger than your original figure the dilation is an enlargement.

  6. Reduction • A Reduction is a type of dilation. So, if you dilate a figure and your new figure is smaller than your original figure it’s a(n) reduction.

  7. Perimeter and Area • When or if you change your two-dimensional figure, you affect your area and perimeter. • Area-Here is an example you have a square with equal side lengths (2in).It enlarger by 200%,which is two wholes. You find the dimensions for the new figure. You then find your area by multiplying your length by your width of the two figures individually (find area for both figures). You then divide your new by original to get the amount it was affected. • Perimeter- Same goes for perimeter, you have two inch sides. You then dilate it. Your original perimeter was eight inches. Your new perimeter is sixteen inches .It is two times larger.
