  15. 1. Did dinosaurs once live on the earth? Yes

  16. 1. Did dinosaurs once live on the earth? “Millions of years ago, long before there were any people, there were dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were one of several kinds of prehistoric reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic Era, the ‘Age of Reptiles.’” ZoomDinosaurs.com ALL ABOUT DINOSAURS!

  17. 1. Did dinosaurs once live on the earth? “The dinosaurs dominated the Earth for over 165 million years during the Mesozoic Era, but mysteriously went extinct 65 million years ago. Paleontologists study their fossil remains to learn about the amazing prehistoric world of dinosaurs.” ZoomDinosaurs.com ALL ABOUT DINOSAURS!

  19. 2. When did the dinosaurs live?

  20. 2. When did the dinosaurs live? People did not coexist with the dinosaurs (except for the birds). Although the image of human cave dwellers hunting dinosaurs is well established in fiction, it is far from accurate. People didn't evolve until about 65 million years after the dinosaurs' extinction. Except for the birds, who are the sole surviving descendants of the dinosaurs, the dinosaurs and people are well separated in terms of geologic time. ZoomDinosaurs.comALL ABOUT DINOSAURS!

  21. 2. When did the dinosaurs live? Genesis 1:24 and 25 (New King James Version) 24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind;” and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

  22. 2. When did the dinosaurs live? Job 40:15 “Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you…”

  23. 2. When did the dinosaurs live? Job 40:15 “Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you…” Job 41:1 “Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook or tie down his tongue with a rope?”

  24. 2. When were dinosaurs found?

  25. 2. When were dinosaurs found? • The story of their discovery began back in the 1820s, when Gideon Mantell, an English doctor, found some unusual teeth and bones in a quarry. Dr Mantell realized there was something very different about these animal remains, and believed that he had found an entirely new group of reptiles.

  26. 2. When were dinosaurs found? By 1841, about nine types of these different reptiles had been uncovered, including two called Megalosaurus and Iguanodon.

  27. 2. When were dinosaurs found? At this time, a famous British scientist (and creationist), Dr Richard Owen, coined the name “Dinosauria,” meaning “terrible lizard,”for this is what the huge bones made him think of.

  28. 3. What makes dinosaurs different?

  29. 3. What makes dinosaurs different? • Other than the huge size of some dinosaurs, the major feature that really distinguishes dinosaurs from other reptiles (such as crocodiles) is the position of their limbs. Dinosaurs had posture that was fully erect, similar to that in mammals.

  30. 3. What makes dinosaurs different? Most other reptiles have limbs in a sprawling position. For instance, compare the way a crocodile “walks” with that of a cow. Dinosaurs would have moved like a cow, with the limbs supporting the body from beneath. Crocodiles “waddle,” as their limbs project sideways from their body.

  31. 4. How big were dinosaurs?

  32. 4. How big were dinosaurs? Some were as small as chickens, and others were even smaller. Of course, some dinosaurs were very large, weighing in at an estimated 80 tons and standing 40 feet high! The average size of a dinosaur, however, was probably about that of a small horse.

  39. A photo of “Puff the Magic Dragon,” one of the "dinosaur" petroglyphs near Middle Mesa at the Wupatki National Park in Arizona. It appears to be a depiction of a fire-breathing dinosaur. Though there is no certain way to date such petroglyphs, it is believed to be at least several hundred years old.

  40. A picture of a dinosaur fighting a mammoth from the book Buried Alive by Dr. Jack Cuozzo. It was taken by the author in the Bernifal Cave, one of the caverns in France that is renowned for Neanderthal artifacts.

  41. This picture was drawn by North American Anasazi Indians that lived in the area that has now become Utah approximately 150 B.C. - 1200 A.D. The brown-ish film which has hardened over the picture, along with the pitting and weathering, attests to its age.

  42. Inca Ceremonial Burial stones, believed to be from the Nasca culture. Over 1100 were found in the 1930's by Dr. Javier Cabrera.

  43. Here is a creature we know today as the triceratops. Is it possible that this was made by someone who actually saw a dinosaur?

  44. 5. What is the evidence that dinosaurs once lived on the earth? We find their bones and fossils all over the world. We find drawings of dinosaurs in caves all over the world. Archaeologists and historians find sculptures of dinosaurs all over the world.

  49. An artifact from Tiwanaku, an important Pre-Columbian archaeological site in Bolivia. Tiwanaku is recognized by Andean scholars as one of the most important precursors to the Inca Empire. The sculptor depicted a dinosaur-like creature at least 800 years before European scientists discovered dinosaurs.
