Today, there are still many areas of the United States where they still use a four nail pattern nailing method when installing new shingles. For superior performance and to have the ultimate wind resistance asphalt shingles should always be installed with four nails per shingle. A roofer only saves a very minimal amount of time by not using six nails to secure each and every shingle. If you are a good roofing contractor you would want to install the best possible roof that will provide ultimate strength against Mother Nature for your customers.
