  1. The Friends of Porchester Junior School News Letter October 2011 Welcome to the new school year. A quick introduction. We are the Friends of Porchester Junior School although you might know us better as the PTA. Our aim is to raise money which benefits the whole of the school. We have already bought a replacement benchfor the school playground in honour of Mr Harrison and we have booked for a theatre company to come intoschool this Christmas. We would like to subsidise school trip(s) next year but we need your help in raising funds. The Giving MachineA free and easy way to help with fundraising is to register with www.thegivingmachine.co.uk it will only take you 2 minutes to register but you can help us raise free cash donations for school. This is basically a cash-back website so if you click through this website to the shop you are going to buy from a certain percentage of your purchase will be donated to school. This does not cost you anything. School Uniform If you child has outgrown their school uniform and you no longer need it please donate it to our school uniform shop which helps raise money for school funds. If you wish to buy any items of school uniform please see Pam Jones or a member of staff from the office. Coffee Morning Our next coffee morning will be on 17 October 9-10.15am. Mollie Mitchell will be selling Phoenix cards and there will also be homemade cakes for sale. A nice way for you to come and socialise with other mums in the school environment. Halloween disco Our Halloween disco will be held on 31 October 6-8pm, first day back after half term so get your tickets from Monday. Adults £2 Children £1.50 Next Meeting If you would like to join us, our next meeting will be on Monday 17 October, 7pm at the Richard Herrod Centre. We look forward to seeing you there.

  2. At the moment we have a strong network of mums involved in the events that we run. We are always looking for new members with fresh ideas so please come along to the next meeting. If you feel you don’t have the time to commit to regular meetings but would like to help at an event. Please fill in your details below.
