Computing news • Shif50 will be shutdown the 26th of July • Bew, gamma, htf, hvfl, marseille, mpi, objy, qcd, stf, wwtf under /wg are affected (900 GB) • Alephdata pool (600 GB) will be lost • Consequences : • Save on castor all the files from /wg that you want to keep • For the pool, there will be more activity of tape mount otherwise it will be transparent

  3. After shift50 • To replace the /wg area, we will get 2 disks servers with 500 GB each • ALEPH have ordered 2 extra disks servers with 500 GB each • So the load to access data will be spread over 4 new machines instead of one (shift50) in addition of the 4 existing one • Delivery time August !!!

  4. Other news • Stager will be move to an independent machine • LSF 4 will be put in production very soon • Only 5 queues (8nm, 1nh, 8nh, 1nd, 1nw) • Manage by user and group • CASTOR space : 32 TB (30 TB used) • /castor/cern.ch/aleph/ntuples • /castor/cern.ch/aleph/wwtf (empty !!!)
