  4. Career Interest Profiler Click the Career Interest Profiler

  5. Start the Career Interest Profiler Choose whether you would like or dislike doing the activity listed

  7. Activity • Complete the Career Interest Profiler • Write Down Your Holland Code __ __ __ • Click View Matching Occupation List • Choose 2 Careers to answer the questions about • Use the information you gathered to determine Which Career you like Best

January • Complete Career Interest Profiler on Naviance; explore careers indicated by your results • Begin your Resume on Naviance under the “About Me” tab • On Naviance: Click “My Profile” and update information including parent name and email address • Get Involved: Join a club, Volunteer – great ways to identify your interests and develop skills • PLAN results available (arrival in Counseling Center late January) • February • Use completed results of the Career Interest Profiler to research careers on Naviance • Do College Search on Naviance • Discuss course selection with your counselor- try to take the most challenging courses you can handle

March • Look up colleges & universities on Naviance • Check out specific college websites – take a virtual tour if possible • Look up admission requirements for colleges I’m thinking about • Talk to your counselor or teacher if you are a candidate for taking an SAT II Subject Test - Some colleges require/recommend one or more subject tests for admission or placement • April • Register for the June SAT II Subject Tests • (if you plan to take the SAT II’s) • Continue to research career options and consider possible college majors that will help you achieve your goals

May • Begin to plan for your Summer • Look into Summer Enrichment Programs at a college or local school • Consider a Summer internship, work, or volunteer • Visit college campuses if on vacation or traveling, or start with local colleges - Get a feel for your likes/dislikes & options June • Take the SAT II Subject Tests (if appropriate) • Continue to update your resume
