Development of a Sports, Wellness, and Recreation Complex in Rokiškis

The Rokiškis District Municipality is set to invest approximately 17.9 million Litas into a new multifunctional complex aimed at enhancing sports, wellness, and recreational activities. Located at the corner of Vilties and Taikos streets in Rokiškis town, the project includes the construction of a 25-meter swimming pool, a multifunctional sports hall, commercial spaces, and necessary infrastructure such as parking and pathways. This initiative seeks to boost tourism and improve the quality of life for local residents by providing diverse recreational services.

  2. Project „DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS, WELNESS AND RECREATION COMPLEX IN ROKISKIS”

  3. Project value:~17,9million Litas;Current situation: prepared land site where the complex will be developed (Rokiškis town, corner of Vilties str.-Taikos str.), detailed plan, technical project (adjusted at the moment), feasibility study;

  4. Objectives of the project: General objective of the project– to promote the development of tourism infrastructure in Rokiskis region and establish complex of sports, wellness and recreation for the aim to provide the service of active recreation, sports, leisure and wellness to the inhabitants. Specific objectives of the project– to compose material infrastructure for the establishment of the complex of sports, recreation and wellness in Rokiskis town.

  5. Project tasks: • To develop multifunctional complex of sports, recreation and wellness in Rokiskis with the following facilities: • ● swimming pool(25 metres lenght, 4 areas (paths) and ilgio 4 takų baseinas su baseino vonia, du persirengimo kambariai, 5 different bath-houses (sauna, Russian bath, Turkish bath and other), cool swimming pool, swimming pool for children jacussi (total area–about958 square meters); • multifunctional sports hall (with technical and safety zones (transformable tribunes with 500 seats, sports platforms for basketball, football, handball, volleyball, track and field athletics, running tracks, sectors for shot-put and long and high jump, changing rooms, shower-baths, WC and facility for stock (total area about2750 square meters); • premises for commercial; • administrative premises; • Networks and other infrastructure (car parking, paths, lighting, access road, greenery).
