Comenius 1 An introduction to the project Our Comenius project is based on those topics that we are basically interested in: tourism, information and communication technologies, industry, economy and the world of work. Fulfilling these, our project aims at looking at local businesses and industries, especially those offering leisure and tourism opportunities.

Comenius 1 Mofetta of Mátraderecske • Geologists call the low-degree volcanic evaporation containing a lob of carbon-dioxide • The only carbon-dioxide dry bath of Hungary can be found in Mátraderecske • Mofetta was founded in 1994 • The medical gas is suitable to cure heart and periferical artery disease, high blood-pressure, vascular complication of diabetics, arthrosis, osteoporosis and to improve the condition after vascular operation. • The noble gas radon, which comes from radium in the earth’s crust, goes through the skin into the body • Radon increases the cellular metabolism and makes the immune system stronger. • Wellness services:sauna, solarium, massage, bubble bath

Comenius 1 Noszvaj • TheThummerer winery is located in the village Noszvaj • It was founded in 1982, working intwo cellars and on 8-10 hectares of land • The family winery is divided into two sole proprietorships • Approximately 300 000 bottles of wine are produced in a year • The family has been dealing with wine tourism since 1994 • They only offer high quality bottled products • 5-6 times a year they organise wine dinners • The technology of production is completed with the most up-to-date equipment and the latest machineries

Comenius 1 The Turkish Bath • The predecessor of the Turkish Bath in Eger today was built between 1610 and 1617 • With repeated reconstruction during the centuries the Turkish character of the bath was preserved. • The temperature of the spring water is 31 degrees Celsius • The waters of the Turkish-bath and the Bubble-bath are certified medical waters since 1934. • The curative effect of the Turkish-bath is attributed to the water's radon content.
