Discover Ms. Blake, your new technology teacher at Eakin Elementary! With five years of experience teaching 1st grade at Haywood Elementary, she is excited to bring her passion for learning to her new role. Residing near Wedgewood and Waverly, Ms. Blake enjoys Iyengar yoga, reading, and cooking healthy vegan dishes. Her family includes her husband Jonathan, a Vanderbilt graduate, and their adorable pets Lucy and Abby. This year promises vibrant learning opportunities in technology!

  4. How Long Has She Been a Teacher? She taught 1st grade for 5 years at Haywood Elementary and is happy to be at Eakin this year!

  5. Where Does She Live? A mile from Eakin at Wedgewood and Waverly! Off of Wedgewood Avenue. Remember all the snow we got earlier this year? It sure wasn’t hot then!

  6. What's Her Family Like? Parents – Mom and Dad (Ken the Yard Man)

  7. What's Her Family Like? My younger sister, Stacy, & her husband, Eli. Stacy works in PR at McNeely, Piggott, & Fox, and Eli is a business sales manager at Dell

  8. What's Her Family Like? My husband, Jonathan (Jon) and I. Jon’s from New Jersey and has degrees in English. He went to Vanderbilt and now works for them in Information Systems.

  9. What's Her Family Like? Fur Babies Lucy & Abby

  10. What Does She Like to Do? Iyengar Yoga Mr. Iyengar is 92 and still teaches in India. . . And even he uses technology!
