Purpose of the Orientation • Welcome you to Graduate Education at SCSU • Introduce you to available resources. • Provide an overview of the technologies you will use as an online or distance student. • Introduce you to the proctored testing/testing center process. • Answer any questions you might have about the University, online and distance education, and the technology you will use.

School of Graduate Studies • e-Services – login using your SCSU student ID (8-digits) • To register for classes • To pay your bill • To find course start dates, drop dates, and withdrawal dates • To view your unofficial transcipts • To review your degree audit report – after filing a Program of Study (.pdf), this report will be customized to you and allow you to track your progress on degree or certificate completion.

Technology Links and Tips • Technology Homepage • http://huskynet.stcloudstate.edu/default.asp • Set up your Huskynet email – do this ASAP as email is the official form of communication at SCSU and required to login to • Login to D2L – Learning Management System – many courses and all online courses will have a D2L site (requires Huskynet) • Login to use your File/Web Space – 500Mb of backed-up storage space – free to students (requires Huskynet) • Login to the Virtual Lab – much of the software available in the labs, free for you to use online (requires Huskynet) • MyHuskynet • Login and set up a personalized portal to SCSU (requires Huskynet)
