  3. VERBOS • ESTAR= to be (used to express emotions/feelings, temporary conditions & location) • ¿Cómo estás? = How are you? • El libro está aquí. = The book is here. • Ellos están tristes. = They are sad.

  4. ESTAR = To Be estoy estamos estás (estáis) está están

  5. VERBOS • SER= to be (used to express essential characteristics; ser + de = origin) • ¿Cómo eres? = What are you like? • Yo soy reservado.= I am shy. • Ella es de Quito. = She is from Quito.

  6. SER = To Be soy somos (sois) eres es son

  7. “VERBOS” • TENER = to have (used to talk about possessions & give a person’s age) • Ellos tienen un libro. = They have a book. • ¿Cuántos años tienes? = How old are you? • Nosotros tenemos sillas. = We have chairs.
