  3. Return Address The return address is information about the sender. The return address always goes in the upper, left hand corner of the envelope. Senders Full Name Street Address City, State Zip code

  4. Where does the Return Address go on the envelope? • On the back of the envelope • On the front, in the middle of the envelope • On the front, in the upper left hand corner • On the front, in the upper right hand corner

  5. Nice try, but that’s not where the return address goes…. Please go back and read about return addresses

  6. Correct! The return address goes in the upper left hand corner of the envelope. Senders Full Name Street Address City, State Zip code

  7. Address The address goes on the front of the envelope in the middle, and is who you are sending your letter to. Recipients Full Name Street Address City, State Zip Code

  8. Stamps In the top right corner is where you put the stamp. This pays for the delivery of the letter.

  10. Let’s Practice! On a piece of paper draw a rectangle to symbolize an envelope. Make it big enough to write information inside of it. Stanley Smith lives at 2375 Cherry Lane, Squire, West Virginia 24884. He is writing to Patricia Lee who lives in Lamont, Oklahoma 70215, at 417 West Street. All images were used from clip-art.
