T – Tenses... • Make sure you include at least 4 tenses... • Present – gasto, compro, recibo, gano, hago, voy • Past– gasté, compré, recibí, gané, hice, fui • Future – voy a gastar, voy a comprar, voy a recibir, voy a • ganar, voy a hacer, voy a ir • (Conditional– gastaría, compraría, recibiría, ganaría, • haría, iría…)

  4. A - Adjectives Makesureyouhave a range of adjectivesto use:- grande, pequeño, interesante, divertido, aburrido, bonito, feo, rápido, largo, corto, genial, fatal, increíble, bueno, malo, cómodo, sucio, limpio

  5. I - Intensifiers • OK – so what are intensifiers? • To you and me that means “very, quite” etc. • So when you use your adjectives – just whack in :- • muy, bastante, un poco, demasiado (before the adjective...)

  6. L – Linking Words • Yes, make sure your sentences are long; always link using:- • Y, pero, también, aunque, sin embargo, no obstante, así que, por eso, luego, entonces, si, cuando… • Whileyou’re at it – don’tforgetto use lots of time indicators:- • Siempre, a veces, a menudo, normalmente, nunca, por la mañana, por la tarde , por la noche

  7. O – Opinions • Yes, makesureyoualwaysgiveplenty of opinions:- • Pienso que I thinkthat • Creo que I believethat • En mi opinión In my opinion • Lo bueno es que Thegoodthingisthat • Lo malo es que Thebadthingisthat • Lo mejor es que Thebestthingisthat • Lo peor es que Theworstthingisthat

  8. R - Reasons • Alwaysgive a reasonwhyyoulikeordislikesomething. In thepresent and in thepast:- • Me gusta porque • No me gusta porque • Odio • Me gustaba porque • No me gustaba porque • Lo odiaba porque es = it is era = it was será = it will be sería = it would be

ED – extra details • Try togetintothehabit of tryingtogive extra details in everysentence! • Beforeyouwritethe full stop – thinkwhatelsecould I add – doesn´thavetobecomplicated – justadds a few more words and makesthesentenceslonger (and more complex!) • Normalmente recibo diez libras a la semana pero la semana pasada recibí veinte libras de mi madre. Pienso que era genial recibir más.
