  1. .film and jet drops (>100 nm) derived from bubble bursting gain water by condensation to form haze or fog droplets, .within these droplets, bacterial enzymatic transformation of proteinaceous material occurs, liberating amino acids. L-methionine being a soluble hydrophobic amino acid migrates to surfaces of the haze/fog droplets, .L-methionine subjected to UV light is further oxidized to dehydromethionine and methionine sulfoxide, .a sudden reduction of humidity in response to mixing with dry air from immidiately above the humid layer causes shrinkage of the droplets. Crystallization and/or electrical disruption divided the residues (microcollids). This provided greater surface area for evaporation of L-methionine as well as providing a wide spectrum of particle sizes up to about 50nm as yet uninfluenced by condensation of H2SO4. .L-methionine molecules attached to clusters of H2SO4 and H2O molecules reduces the pH substantially, which allows the formation of a charge dimer that acts as a stable nucleus.
