  1. Our Contsruct Genesis 1:27 (NASB) God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

  2. Keys: Patterns of Scripture • There are many Principles & Patterns in scripture which are keys to understanding mysteries of the Kingdom. • The Patterns of 7…Redemptive Gifts, Romans 12:6-8 • Prophet, Servant, Teacher, Exhorter, Ruler, Giver & Mercy • This pattern effects everything created; people, cities & nations • Each gift has a birthright, an inheritance and a challenge • The Pattern of 3 • The Father, Son & Holy Spirit: Gen.1:26 • Not three Gods’ but three persons in one God • The 1st, 2nd & 3rd heavens • 1st, the earth realm of demons & people • 2nd, Where evil cosmic beings exist (astral planes), principalities, heavenly rulers exist; Eph.6 • 3rd , The throne of God, various heavenly creatures Seraphim, cherubim, archangels exist; Rev. 4, 2 Cor. 12:2.

  3. The 3 Parts of the Brain • 1) Cerebellum 2) Cerebrum 3) Medulla • Three Parts of DNA molecule • The phosphate, deoxyribose (sugars) and lastly the nitrogenous bases. • Three parts of a seed. • (1) an embryo, (2) a supply of nutrients for the embryo, and (3) a seed coat. • Three Parts of an Atom • electron (negative); proton (positive); neutron (neutral) the electrons and empty space are located in the electron cloud, the protons and the neutrons are located in the nucleus

  4. The Seed

  5. The AtomColossians 1:17 (AMP) And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).

  6. The Three Feasts • PASSOVER OR UNLEAVENED BREAD • Referring to Jesus death & burial and resurrection as the lamb of God. • PENTECOST OR FEAST OF WEEKS, OF HARVEST, OF FIRSTFRUITS • Takes place 50 days after Passover representing the coming of the Holy Spirit and was a spring harvest feast. • TABERNACLES OR FEAST OF BOOTHS, OF INGATHERING • Is a feast of harvest which I believe is future and as a twofold emphasis: Acts 2:17 “pour my spirit out on all flesh” • Harvests of sons • The Great harvest • Every seed sown; both good & bad is being harvested.

  7. The Tabernacle of Moses

  8. The Three Part Principle • There is a inner part that is the real life of who you are. Its DNA is there to produce the embryonic stage to complete maturity (spirit) • There is a middle part or the part where the embryo of you gets its nourishment from. if that part is polluted or diseased, it will not allow the maturing of who you are (soul). • The body is the protective covering which must be broken to allow the fullness of the embryo (spirit-man) to come forth.

  9. The 3-Part Human BeingGenesis 1:27 (AMP) So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

  10. Our “God-Image” Construct • Genesis 2:7 (AMP) • Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being (Soul). • When God breathed in man “the breath of life” into man’s nostrils, the “breath” became man’s spirit. As soon as it combined with man’s body (dust), it produced the soul. Hence the soul is the combination man’s body & spirit. • The word “Life” is “CHAY” which is plural. This may refer to the fact that the inbreathing produced a twofold reaction or life; “soulical” and spiritual • Thus man became a “living soul”

  11. The Living Soul • Man becoming “a living soul” also suggests that the spirit & body were completely merged in this soul. • In Adam’s “unfallen” state, he knew nothing of the ceaseless strivings of spirit & flesh (soul & body) which are daily experiences to us. (Rom7) • God often referred to men as “souls’ because they are unique creation and different than angels who are created as spiritual beings.

  12. Man’s Condition Depends on His soul • Luke 11:33-35(AMP) • No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or crypt or under a bushel measure, but on a lampstand, that those who are coming in may see the light. 34 Your eye (soul) is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your soul) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness.35 Be careful, therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness.

  13. The Function of the Spirit – 3 fold • According to the teaching of the Bible and the experience of believers, the human spirit can be said to comprise three parts; or, to put it another way, one can say it has three main functions. These are conscience, intuition and communion.

  14. The Conscience • Is the discerning organ which distinguishes right and wrong not, however, through the influence of knowledge stored in the mind but rather by a spontaneous direct judgment. • The work of the conscience is independent and direct; it does not bend to outside opinions. If man should do wrong it will raise its voice of accusation. • Often reasoning will justify things which our conscience judges.

  15. Scripture Relating to Human Spirit’s Conscience • 1 Timothy 4:2 (AMP) Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared (cauterized), • “The Lord your God hardened his spirit” Deut. 2.30 • “Saves the crushed in spirit” Ps. 34.18 • “Put a new and right spirit within me” Ps. 51.10 • When Jesus had thus spoken, he was troubled in spirit” John 13.21 • “His spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols” Acts 17.16 • “It is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God” Rom. 8.16

  16. The Human Spirit’s Intuition • The sensing organ of the human spirit. It is so diametrically different from physical sense and soulical sense that it is called intuition. • Intuition involves a direct sensing independent of any outside influence. That knowledge which comes to us without any help from the mind, emotion or volition comes intuitively. We really “know” through our intuition; our mind merely helps us to “understand.

  17. The revelations of God and all the movements of the Holy Spirit are known to the believer through his intuition. A believer must therefore heed these two elements: the voice of conscience and the teaching of intuition. • Philippians 3:10 (NASB) • that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

  18. Philippians 3:10 (AMP)  • [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power out-flowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

  19. Scripture Relating to the spirits’ Intuition • “The spirit indeed is willing” Matt. 26.41 • “Jesus perceiving in his spirit” Mark 2.8 • “He sighed deeply in his spirit” Mark 8.12 • “He was deeply moved in spirit” John 11.33 • “Paul was pressed in the spirit” Acts 18.5 AV • “Being fervent in spirit” Acts 18.25 • “I am going to Jerusalem, bound in the spirit” Acts 20.22 • “What person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him” 1 Cor. 2.11

  20. Imagination • Webster defines imagination this way: • the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality. • a creation of the mind; especially : an idealized or poetic creation; it is neither good or evil • The function of imagination is to be a bridge between my soul and spirit. • Meditation plays a huge part in using imagination • Psalm 46:10(AMP) • Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!

  21. Scriptures Dealing With Imagination • 1 Chronicles 28:9 (AMP) • And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and minds and understands all the wanderings of the thoughts (Imagination; yetza). If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] you will find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever!

  22. Daniel 4:5 (AMP) • I had a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts and imaginations and the visions of my head as I was lying upon my bed troubled and agitated me. • 2 Corinthians 10:5(KJV) • Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

  23. Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) • You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind (imagination; yetza)[both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. • Imagination is the Holy of Holies in the spirit

  24. How Imagination Operates • There is a screen in your brain with 3 projectors • God has one, you have one and Satan has one • You become what you focus on • Proverbs 23:7(AMP) • For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. • The Law of the spirit of Life • Romans 8:2(AMP)  • For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

  25. The Veil • 2 Corinthians 3:15(AMP)  • Yes, down to this [very] day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their minds and hearts.16 But whenever a person turns [in repentance] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away.17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

  26. Vanishing Point • Psalm 24:3 (AMP)  • Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? • 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. • 5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. • 6 This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]! • 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding doors (OLA; vanishing Point and beyond), that the King of glory may come in.8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

  27. Ecclesiastes 3:11(AMP) • He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity (OLA) in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. • This was Enoch’s Experience Gen.5:24(AMP) • And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].

  28. Walking in the Spirit • Romans 8:14(AMP) • For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. • Galatians 5:16(AMP) • But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

  29. Communion • Communion is worshiping God. The organs of the soul are incompetent to worship God. God is not apprehended by our thoughts, feelings or intentions, for He can only be known directly in our spirits. Our worship of God and God’s communications with us are directly in the spirit. They take place in “the inner man,” not in the soul or outward man.

  30. Jesus’ Definition of Worship • John 4:23-24 (AMP) • A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. 24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).

  31. Scriptures relating to spirits’ Communion • My spirit rejoices in God my Savior” Luke 1.47 • “Whom I serve with my spirit” Rom. 1.9 • “We serve . . . in the new life of the spirit” Rom. 7.6 • “You have received the spirit of sonship when we cry Abba Father” Rom. 8.15 • “The Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit” Rom. 8.16 • “He who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him” 1 Cor. 6.17 • “I will sing with the spirit” 1 Cor. 14.15

  32. The Function of The Soul • Aside from having a spirit which enables him to commune with God, man also possesses a soul, his self-consciousness. Hs is made conscious of his existence by the work of his soul. It is the seat of our personality. The elements which make us human belong to the soul. Intellect, thought, ideals, love, emotion, discernment, choice, decision, etc., are but various experiences of the soul.

  33. The soul represents man and expresses his individuality. • It is the organ of mans’ free will, the organ in which the spirit and body are completely merged. If a man’s soul wills to obey God, it will allow the spirit to rule over man as ordered by God. • The soul can also suppress the spirit and take some other delight as lord over man. • As the spirit acts upon the soul and the soul in turn expresses itself through the body.

  34. Mans’ Personality • For the seat and essence of the personality is the soul. To comprehend a man’s personality is to comprehend his person. Man’s existence, characteristics and life are all in the soul. The Bible consequently calls man “a soul.” • That which constitutes man’s personality are the three main faculties of volition, mind and emotion.

  35. Volition or Will • Volition is the instrument for our decisions, revealing our power to choose. It expresses our willingness or unwillingness: “we will” or “we won’t.” Without it, man is reduced to an automaton. • Now set your mind and heart (original, “soul”) to seek the Lord your God” 1 Chron. 22.18

  36. The Mind • Mind, the instrument for our thoughts, manifests our intellectual power. Out of this arise wisdom, knowledge and reasoning. Lack of it makes a man foolish and dull. • That a soul be without knowledge is not good” Prov. 19.2 • Marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” Ps. 139.14 Darby • “My soul continually thinks of it” Lam. 3.20 • “Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul” Prov. 2.10

  37. Our Mind is like a Hard drive that has images stored upon it. • It can recall, memories, smells, images that our senses take in. • Philippians 4:8(AMP) • For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

  38. Ephesians 4:17-24(AMP) • So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.18 Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is [deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].19 In their spiritual apathy they have become callous and past feeling and reckless and have abandoned themselves [a prey] to unbridled

  39. sensuality, eager and greedy to indulge in every form of impurity [that their depraved desires may suggest and demand].20 But you did not so learn Christ!21 Assuming that you have really heard Him and been taught by Him, as [all] Truth is in Jesus [embodied and personified in Him],22 Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion;23And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

  40. Emotions • The instrument for our likes and dislikes is the faculty of emotion. Through it we are able to express love or hate and to feel joyful, angry, sad or happy. Any shortage of it will render man as insensitive as wood or stone. • he soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul” 1 Sam. 18.1 • “You whom my soul loves” Song 1.7“My soul magnifies the Lord” Luke 1.46

  41. Living by the Flesh • 1 Corinthians 2:14 (AMP)  • But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

  42. Living By the Spirit • 1Corinthians 2:15-16(AMP) • But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

  43. Natural or Soul Life • Actually the soul is the pivot of the entire being, because man’s volition belongs to it. It is only when the soul is willing to assume a humble position that the spirit can ever manage the whole man. If the soul rebels against taking such a position the spirit will be powerless to rule. This explains the meaning of the free will of man. Man is not an automaton that turns according to God’s will. Rather, man has full sovereign power to decide for himself.

  44. He possesses the organ of his own volition and can choose either to follow God’s will or to resist Him and follow Satan’s will instead. God desires that the spirit, being the noblest part of man, should control the whole being. Yet, the will—the crucial part of individuality—belongs to the soul. It is the will which determines whether the spirit, the body, or even itself is to rule. In view of the fact that the soul possesses such power and is the organ of man’s individuality, the Bible calls man “a living soul.”

  45. The Function of Each

  46. Abiding in Him • John 15:1-4(AMP) • I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. 3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
