The Planetary Explorer team, led by Dr. Stephanie Wright and advised by Dr. John Meakin, is developing an exciting full-sized planetary explorer for students in grades 7-10. This project aims to inspire students about space through hands-on activities and real-world engineering challenges. With input from educators and students alike, the vehicle will incorporate advanced design elements inspired by lunar and Mars exploration rovers. Our mission includes designing, manufacturing, and testing this innovative vehicle, fostering excitement and engagement in the space program.
