  1. Crunchy Peanut Butter for the Soul – so good you can taste it!

  2. Happy living • “A purposeful personality may somehow protect the brain, perhaps by increasing neural connections that can act as a reserve against mental decline”, said study co-author Robert Wilson of Chicago's Rush University Medical Center. • “Astoundingly, the brains of some of the dutiful people in the study were examined after their deaths and were found to have lesions that would meet accepted criteria for Alzheimer's — even though these people had shown no signs of dementia.”

  3. Why change? • Bored, • sad and • lonely.

  4. There is nothing more dangerous than a bored senior. We as a society need to be more involved with our elderly parents and grandparents. Elderly people with nothing to do, and no place to go, will find ways to fill their time. Bored and neglected seniors looking to fit in, will often fall in with the wrong crowd, leading them down the path to trouble. So talk to your elderly loved one. Ask them what they are up to and get to know their friends. Become involved. Volunteer at a nursing home. It’s up to you to do your part because the cost of an idle old person is more than any community can afford Are we doing enough?

  5. FAMILIES • Are you in a home or a hospital??? • Do you still do the things you did?? • Did you always just sit and talk?

  6. Why change? • Connections • Purpose • Individuality

  7. What are we going to do? • Change the culture!!!! • Everyone needs to be involved.

  8. So “LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX”
