  2. Hedgehog • The hedgehog lives in burrows. • Adaptation 1: The spikes protect them from predators. • Adaptation 2: They hibernate so they don’t have to search for food and water in the winter.

  3. Arctic Fox • The Arctic fox lives in the Arctic. • Adaptation 1: Its fur helps it keep warm in the winter. • Adaptation 2: They have fluffy tails for blankets.

  4. Black Widow Spider • It lives in the hot spots like by the equator. • Adaptation 1: Their red spot on their back keeps predators away. • Adaptation 2: They see very well in the dark.

  5. Parrots • Parrots live in the rain forest . • Adaptation 1: Their feathers make them blend in by being colorful. • Adaptation 2: Their beaks help open up hard shells.
