Telomerase • Maintains telomere length. • Dictates synthesis of telomeric repeats onto DNA substrates. • Telomerase expression increases with grade of CIN. • Active form of telomerase is hTERT. • Full length RNA is called hTR. • Quantitative differences in expresion of hTR telomerase in normal, CIN and invasive phenotypes.
