  2. Essendon History • Essendon Football Club was officially founded in 1871. • They played their first game in 1873. • In 1878 they joined the new formed Victorian Football Association (now called Australian Football League) • Formed by the McCracken family

  3. Famous Players Some significant players are: • Matthew Lloyd • James Hird • Mark Thompson • Tim Watson • Dick Reynolds Ect.
