  7. Used to Directly Address the Audience • Accompanies the on-stage action • Spoken by one or more of the characters • Or by a Narrator

  9. Used to Interview a Character • Helps you to develop your character • Gain an insight into his background • Can help an audience to learn about a character’s motivation

  11. Used to Pretend to Be Someone Else! • See how your character reacts in different situations • Used in rehearsed and spontaneous improvisations • As well as every piece of Drama you do

  12. Thought Tracking

  13. Used to Let The Audience in on Your Secrets! • Look straight at the audience • Stay in role • Tell them what your character is thinking

  14. Marking the Moment

  15. Used to Highlight an Important Moment • Identify the most important part of a scene • Use another skill to point out this moment • Or lights and sound

  16. Forum Theatre

  17. Used to Work Towards a Common Aim • Develop a role play in front of your class • At any time someone may raise their hand and stop the action • They can create a new role or replace an existing one
