About the 3D file delivered on 16th Apr. 2010 • FPI_ASM_IOB(Trass)_Envelope(FPC)_New.zip • Yellow: IOB • proposed structure satisfying the FPIA stiffness requirement with top/bottom/side plates made of Aluminum • Interferes SAFARI envelope (!) • Too heavy! • White/gray : MIRACLE – now the optics are updated. The CAD model now also includes Filter & Slit wheels, etc.(mostly final) • Green, purple: FPC-G, FPC-S • Light blue : SCI • SAFARI is omitted, just for better seeing for other FPIs

  8. FPC-S envelope and optics inside • The optics will be updated soon, but must be inside the current envelope

  9. Near future updates, deliverables • SCI optics will be included in the CAD file, and its orientation will be corrected in the next round • FPC optics (under updates, new version will be available on 26th Apr.) will also be included in the CAD file • IOB mechanical design – to be discussed on 21st Apr. at JAXA • Looking for a solution to satisfy the serious stiffness requirements – need of a drastic idea? • New SAFARI optics/envelopes will be included when available.. • Envelopes MIRMES, MIRHES will be deliverable in early May (tbd) • but no mechanical interference is expected with SAFARI
