Background - education • Since 2004 MSc program in SE • Since 2006 BSc program in SE • Joint Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program – Sofia University and Stevens Institute of Technology • 1 March 2007 – establishment of Software Engineering department in FMI • PhD students in S&S since 2002

Subproject - aim • Extend the determined joint research agenda in S&S for national priorities in Software and Services • It will identify topics of S&S research that • constitute research urgencies at European levels – FP8 research objectives, ETPs, etc • map on national and regional interests • are in the research focus of Bulgarian scientific/academic groups and industry.

  10. Subproject - approach • Similar to the approach already applied in 2.1a task, but improved and extended in two directions. • it will be applied on new data • analysed materials will be extended with input and feedback from industry.

  11. Subproject – expected result • Document named Research agenda in S&S proposed to • the Ministry of Science and Education, National Scientific Fund, other governmental bodies, • Professional organizations - ICT cluster, BASSCOM, SMEs, • universities and academia
