  14. Charlie Chaplin’s biography: He was born in London, England He debuted in the music hall as a child actor. He worked with Karno Pantomime Troupe. He toured USA / Canada with Karno Pantomime Troupe. He joined Mack Sennett’s film company; started to act in, direct and produce films. His own studio in Hollywood was completed. He helped to found United Artists Corporation and worked in it till 1952.

He got an Oscar for a lifetime of outstanding work. He was knighted by Elizabeth II, Queen of England and became Sir Charlie Chaplin. Died in Switzerland. Film (1992) Charlie Chaplin by Richard Attenborough tells the story of his life.
